Duracotton HT Transfer Paper
How To Transfer and Sublimate Cotton
Using a Laser Printer or Copier

Heat Press to 100% Cotton, 50-50 or 75-25 Polycotton blends, Twills, Canvas

The following instructions can be used in many Colour Laser Printers and Copiers using OEM Toner, 3rd Party Toner or Dye Sublimation Toner. For further details go to www.autoart.ca
.

Regular Toner
  1. Use PLAIN PAPER PRINT SETTING (some copiers/printers may require Thick or Glossy setting). Print shiny side of paper.
  2. Do not preheat shirt.
  3. Position mirror printed transfer (read wrong) face down on shirt.
  4. Set temperature to 405F (192C) degrees
  5. Set pressure HEAVY.
  6. Press time 15+ sec. HOT PEEL.
+ Indicates that you could use more or less time.

I personally use a Discovery Lancer air operated press and have found I need to set the temperature at 408F, HEAVY press and 20 sec press time. Sweatshirts require 25 sec. Each user must experiment with their equipment to establish the best settings for their situation.

It is highly recommended that the article be covered  with a Teflon sheet and pressed for an additional 5 seconds after removal of the transfer. Quick peel IMMEDIATELY. The Teflon pumps the colour into the fibre, resulting in really fantastic colours and increased wash durability. It leaves ZERO hand and further enhances the invisibility of the polymer resin.
